104 | Bucket List

This week we checked off a bucket list item. We first started talking about going to @therydercup in 2014. At the time my dad was still alive and in good health, so together we dreamed about going to the 2020 Ryder Cup at Whistling Straits in our home state of Wisconsin.

Sadly, my dad died three years ago (stupid cancer), but we persisted with our plan and got tickets. Then came a global pandemic (stupid Covid) and the event was delayed for a year.

It’s been a long time coming, but this week has been a delight. There is an exuberance to this event that sets it apart from other golf tournaments. The weather has been glorious (even with ridiculous winds on Wednesday). We’ve been able to spend time with dear friends. And, thanks to our son and daughter-in-law who’ve been staying with Miss T, we’ve had our first real getaway alone since becoming T’s parents 3 1/2 years ago.

I am filled with gratitude for this time and this experience. Now it’s time to start dreaming about and planning our next adventure.

🌱 What would you put on your bucket list?
